CALL TO ORDER
The March 14, 2011, Council Work Session was convened at 5:32 P.M. by Mayor John
Landwehr.
ATTENDANCE
The following Council Members were present:
Present: Griffith, Harvey, Koon, Medin, Penfold, Pope, Scrivner (arrived at 5:51
P.M.), and Weber
Absent: Carroll and Struemph
A quorum was present.
DISCUSSION OF AGENDA ITEMS
Chamber of Commerce Annual Report
Mr. Randy Allen and Ms. Missy Bonnot made a presentation providing details of the annual
report of the Chamber of Commerce. Ms. Bonnot shared the new website designed to
market Jefferson City, which is found at www.jeffersoncityfocus.com. Following their
presentation, they answered several questions asked by the City Council.
*Councilman Bob Scrivner arrived during the Chamber Report, (5:51 P.M.)
Sales Tax "F"
City Administrator Steve Rasmussen made a presentation in which staff proposed placing
the extension of the City 1/2 cent sales tax issue on the August 2, 2011 ballot. The Council
asked questions and requested that staff provide a detailed list of projects and how much
will be spent using the rest of Sales Tax "E" money.
Old Town Update
A detailed presentation was given by City Administrator Steve Rasmussen, Assistant to the
City Administrator Melva Fast, Acting Community Development Director Charles Lansford,
and City Planner Janice McMillan which provided how the list of ten items identified by the
Old Town Committee are being addressed by the City. Following the presentation, the

Mayor, City Council, and Randy Allen commended staff on the speed with which they have
advanced the issues to their current status.
