AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL, ACCEPTANCE, AND APPROPRIATION OF A GRANT FROM UNITED WAY
WHEREAS, The United Way has grant funding available; and
WHEREAS, the Widowed Person’s Service desires to submit a grant application to assist with he costs associated for operating expenses in 2002; and
WHEREAS, no local match is required for this grant
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, follows:
1. The Widowed Person’s Service is hereby authorized to submit a grant application to the United Way to assist with the costs associated for operating expenses in 2002.
2. The Widowed Person’s Service is authorized to accept said grant funding in an amount up to Four Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($4,500.00).
3. Said funds, if awarded to the City of Richmond, shall be appropriated for assistance with the costs associated for operating expenses in 2002.
Passed and adopted this 5th day of November, 2001, by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana.
