SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The
May 27 public hearing was continued until June 10 and staff was directed to work with the applicant to develop alternatives for the Council’s consideration. An appraisal of the property
is being prepared. The appraisal report and alternatives for Council action will be presented on June 10.
The P&Z recommended that the Council approve the vacation. The TAC recommended
that the vacation not be approved. The staff recommends that the vacation be approved.
Attached are draft Findings & Conclusions for the Council. The complete record was provided to
the Council in the May 27 packet. It is available for review in City Hall.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
A recommendation will be provided on June 10, based on the appraisal report.

SUMMARY STATEMENT:
On
April 6 the Planning & Zoning Commission conducted a public hearing on a request to vacate portion of the Fourth Street and Lenora Street rights-of-way. The Transportation Advisory Committee
has also reviewed the proposal. The P&Z recommended that the Council approve the vacation. The TAC recommended that the vacation not be approved. The staff recommends that the vacation
be approved.
Attached are the original application, the complete record of the P&Z’s review, the P&Z’s Findings & Conclusions, draft minutes from the TAC, and draft Findings & Conclusions
for the Council.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Direct staff to prepare final Finding & Conclusions and a draft Ordinance for the Council’s consideration on June 10.
