SUMMARY STATEMENT:
In order to effectively
administer the Local-Option Tax, a request was made to the Idaho State Tax Commission to provide a list of the local businesses who file the 2% Travel and Convention Tax with the State
of Idaho. A confidentiality agreement must be executed in order for the information to be released. The Memorandum of Understand is similar to an agreement made between Kootenai County
and the State Tax Commission when they adopted their local-option County tax.
Attached is a copy of the agreement.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Approve the Memorandum of Understanding
with the Idaho State Tax Commission and authorize the Mayor to sign.
