SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The McCall Improvement Committee
has been working with Karl Augustine from Sage Community Resources to secure Community Development Block Grant Funds to improve the Southern Corridor. The Committee performed a survey
of the area and documented that slum and blight conditions exist in the area according to the definitions contained in IDAPA 09, Title 02, Chapter 01, Section 020.01 and 020.02.
The
adoption of Resolution 05-08 will declare the location as a redevelopment area and allow the City to take action as necessary to remove and prevent slum and blight conditions from existing.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Resolution 05-08 declaring the Southern Corridor as a redevelopment area; and direct City Staff to work with Sage Community Resources to secure
funding to remove and prevent slum and blight conditions from existing in the area.
