There was a conference call with Cmdr. Joe McDowell, COB Frank Cook and LCDR Eric Stinson of
the USS Jefferson City submarine.
The above referenced crew of the USS Jefferson City provided a status update on USS Jefferson
City Submarine and future activities. The crew representatives indicated, at this point in time, an
appropriate time for a “namesake visit” might be in February or March 2022. Committee Chair
Dulle asked the representatives to provide the Committee with a list of Jefferson City items they
may need, said items to be displayed in the submarine; the crew representatives indicated they
would do so. The crew representatives indicated they had a Missouri flag which had been flown
over the submarine which they would provide to the City. The crew representatives were aware
that Councilmember Wiseman would be visiting Hawaii and the USS Jefferson City Submarine
the week of November 21, 2021. The crew representatives indicated that the appropriate time
frame between Committee updates would be approximately three months. The crew
representatives invited any of the Committee members and/or City representatives to visit the
submarine in Guam. The crew representatives stated their appreciation to Jennifer Suchanek for
her assistance with meeting coordination.
