Subject: 2005 Paving Priorities
A
bid opening for the “City of McCall 2005 Paving Project” is being held July 14, 2005. The streets identified to be paved include Pine-Wooley from Roosevelt Ave. to Davis Ave. Carico
Road from Agate Street to Flynn Lane. Ernesto Drive from Pinedale Street to Rio Vista Blvd. And Gena Way from Boydstun Street to Ernesto Drive. Also, to be paved this year is the
continuation of Spring Mountain Blvd from Sand Wedge Court to Lick Creek Road.
Pine-Wooley and Spring Mountain Blvd will include paving a bike path.
The reason these roads were selected
had to do with how much money we have, the amount of traffic using the road, the length, the number of homes on the road, the dust problem and whether the water and sewer utilities are
in place and adequate to serve the future needs of the City.
Pine-Wooley is a new road with an incredible amount of traffic that requires a lot of maintenance to keep in good condition.
The same can be said for Ernesto Drive.
Next year the City plans to reconstruct Boydstun Street to finish the East-West Loop to State Highway 55. I would like to repave Rowland
Street and rebuild Park Street from 1st Street to Mission in the proposed 05-06 budget.
