RESOLUTION NO. 92 -3128
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TEMPLE CITY, CALIFORNIA, ADOPTING THE HOUSE-
HOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE ELEMENT AND ADOPTING A
NEGATIVE DECLARATION OF ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESS-
MENT
WHEREAS, Assembly Bills 2707 requires that each City in
California adopt a household hazardous waste element; and
WHEREAS, on November 15, 1991, the preliminary draft element
was distributed to the appropriate state and county agencies in
compliance with regulatory requirements; and
WHEREAS, on December 17, 1991, the City Council held a duly
advertised and noticed public hearing on the preliminary draft
element and opportunity was given to all persons present to
speak; and
WHEREAS, in December 1991, the preliminary draft element was
reviewed by the California Integrated Waste Management Board and
comments were received; and
WHEREAS, on February 18, 1992, the City Council held a duly
advertised public hearing on the final draft element'and opportu-
nity was given to all persons present to speak; and
WHEREAS, on February 18, 1992, the City Council held a duly
advertised and noticed public hearing on the proposed negative
declaration and opportunity was given to all persons present to
speak; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the initial study and
proposed negative declaration and supporting evidence in accor-
dance with the authority and criteria contained in the California
Environmental Quality Act and in accordance with the City of
Temple City's guidelines for the implementation of the California
Environmental Quality Act; and
NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY,
CALIFORNIA, DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOL-
LOWS:
SECTION 1. That the City Council hereby adopts the Final
Draft Household Hazardous Waste Element and adopts a negative
declaration for the element.
SECTION 2. That said final element be delivered to the Los
Angeles County Solid Waste Management Division.

SECTION 3. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage
and adoption of this resolution and enter it into the book of
original resolutions.
