APPROVING PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT -
McMANIMON & SCOTLAND, LLC
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret was in need of specialized bond counsel services
with regard to various bonding issues; and
WHEREAS, McManimon & Scotland, LLC possesses the requisite knowledge and
experience to provide said legal services; and
WHEREAS, McManimon & Scotland, LLC has submitted a proposal to provide said
bond counsel services to the Borough at a cost not to exceed $1,854.40 at the hourly rate
established in accordance with the law firm's existing contract with the Borough; and
WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds are or will be available
for the payment of said professional legal services.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough
ofCarteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey that:
1. McManimon & Scotland, LLC is hereby authorized to perfonn
specialized bond counsel services in various bonding issues at a cost not to
exceed $1,854.40.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this award tS made as a professional servIces
contract pursuant to NJ.S.A. 40A:11-5(1)a.
Adopted this 27th day of October, 2005
and certified as a true copy of the
original on October 28, 2005.
