Leesburg, VA (February 9, 2017) – The Town of Leesburg recently filled to key senior staff positions in the Department of Utilities and the Department of Public Works and Capital Projects. Travis Davidson joined the Town as Manager of Operations and Inspections for the Department of Public Works and Capital Projects on Monday, January 23, 2017. He came to Leesburg from the Washinton Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) where he was a Senior Program Manager overseeng facility and environmental construction projects. Travis has over 20 years of public sector experience in engineering and transportation management, operations and infrastructure construction. His previous employers include the State of Georgia; Charlotte, North Carolina; Augusta-Richmond County, Georgia; Volusia County, Florida; Memphis, Tennessee; and the District of Columbia. Travis holds a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering Technology from South Carolina State University, a Master of Business Administration from Gardner-Webb University, a Master of Public Administration from Villanova University and a Doctor of Organizational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University. Patrick Moore joined the Town as Deputy Director of Utilities on Monday, January 16, 2017. He was previously the Assistant Public Works Director for the City of Manassas. Prior positions Travis Davidson and Patrick Moore include Engineering Services Manager and GIS Analyst with the City of Manassas and Project Team Lead for the Virginia Department of Transportation. A registered professional engineer, Patrick holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering Technology/Engineering Management from Old Dominion University and a Master of Public Administration from George Mason University. Town Manager Kaj Dentler noted, “Both Dr. Davidson and Mr. Moore bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to keys areas of service for Town residents and businesses.
