SHOULD ANY INTERESTED PARTY SEEK TO APPEAL ANY DECISION MADE BY THE TOWN COMMISSION WITH RESPECT TO ANY MATTER CONSIDERED AT THIS MEETING, SAID PARTY WILL NEED A RECORD OF THE PROCEEDINGS, AND FOR SUCH PURPOSE, MAY NEED TO INSURE THAT A VERBATIM RECORD OF THE PROCEEDINGS IS MADE, WHICH RECORD INCLUDES THE TESTIMONY AND EVIDENCE UPON WHICH THE APPEAL IS TO BE BASED. 286.0105, F.S.S. MINUTES OF THE CERTIFICATION OF ELECTION RETURNS HELD BY THE TOWN COMMISSION ON FRIDAY, MARCH 15, 1996, AT NOON, IN THE COMMISSION CHAMBERS OF THE TOWN HALL, 100 SEA ROAD, GULF STREAM, FLORIDA. I. Call to Order. Mayor Koch called the meeting to order at noon. II. Roll Call. Present and participating: Absent: Also present & participating: William F. Koch, Alan I. Armour Joan K. Orthwein A. Curtis True, M James E. Cross Jr. Mayor Vice Mayor Commissioner .D. Commissioner Commissioner E. Scott Harrington Town Manager Rita Taylor Town Clerk III. Certification of Election Results. Commissioner Armour moved that inasmuch as the only candidates to qualify for Town Commissiorer were those currently serving on the Town Commission, resulting in no election being held, William F. Koch, Jr., Alan I. Armour, Joan K. Orthwein, A. Curtis True, M.D. and James E. Cross be declared elected and the results so certified. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Orthwein. Roll Call: Comm. Orthwein, AYE; Comm. Armour; AYE, Comm. True; AYE, and Mayor Koch; AYE. IV. Seatina of 5 Commissioners. Commissioner Orthwein moved and Commissioner True seconded that William F. Koch, Jr., Alan I. Armour, Joan K. Orthwein, A. Curtis True, and James E. Cross be seated. Roll Call: Comm. Orthwein; AYE, Comm. Armour; AYE, Comm. True; AYE, and Mayor Koch; AYE. V. Swearing In the Town Commissioners. The Town Clerk asked that the Commissionersstand and she then administered the Oath of Office to William F. Koch, Jr., Alan I. Armour, Joan K. Orthwein, and A. Curtis True. Town Manager Harrington reviewed dates that had been confirmed for future meetings as follows: Friday, April 12, 1996; Friday, May 10, 1996;and Friday, June 14, 1996. He then suggested that a tentative date of July 19, 1996 be established, that being the third Friday in July, as July is the month for budget presentation and an extra week is need for the budget preparation. The Commissioners were agreeable. It was then suggested that a date be tentatively set for August, Wednesday, August 7, 1996 at 9 A.M. This was also agreeable. OVI. Adjournment.
