A quorum was present.The Cemetery Resources Board met on Thursday, November 18,2021 at 9:00 a.m. in the ThomasJefferson Room, lower level of the John G. Christy Municipal Building, 320 E. McCarty Street, JeffersonCity, Missouri.Approval of the Minutes:A motion was made for approval of the minutes from the October 21,2021 meeting by Pam Wren,Jeanette Dulle seconded. Minutes were approved.Old Business:Rebecca Gordon gave a brief discussion about the upcoming Cemetery Walking Tour. Rebeccaannounced a date of Saturday, April 23,2022 for the Cemetery Walking Tour.New Business:Discussion occurred about the Preserving Gravestone Information Project. Board members discussedthe purpose of the project, where the identifier information is coming from, how to identify prioritystones, and where the funding will come from. Mark Schreiber mentioned asking for additional moneyfrom the City on an annual basis to pay for projects like this. Board members also discussed promotingthe cemeteries on Facebook, news articles, and sending letters to businesses and family members tohelp with donations. Rebecca is going to put a plan together on priority stones to see how muchfunding is needed to start the project.
Other Topics and Issues:David Grellner gave demonstration on MidMoGIS regarding the cemetery app that was created a coupleof years ago to identify those interred in Did City Cemetery and Longview Cemetery. Mark Schreiberand Rebecca Gordon discussed the preservation of the white oak stump in Woodiand Cemetery andplacing a sign to describe its place in history with the cemetery.The next Cemetery Resources Board meeting was set for Thursday, January 20, 2022 at 9:00 a.m. in theThomas Jefferson Conference Room at City Hall.Adjournment:With no further business, the meeting was adjourned.Respectfuiiy submitted,. nn .David Greiiner
