A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
ACKNOWLEDGING THAT, FOR SAFETY REASONS, YOUTH WERE NOT UTILIZED
FOR THE LYNWOOD PARK IMPROVEMENTS PROJECTS SPORT FIELD LIGHT
INSTALLATION AND PLAY GROUND EQUIPMENT UPGRADE FOR GRANT NO.
58F8-04-2060
WHEREAS, the City received a grant from the Los Angeles County Parks and
Open Space District for the Lynwood Park Improvement Project; and
WHEREAS, the project included installation of sport field lighting for one soccer
field and upgrading play ground equipment to ADA compliance; and
WHEREAS, the grant recommended that the City hire youths; and
WHEREAS, due to safety concerns youth were not utilized for this project; and
WHEREAS, the project was completed and final documents will be submitted to
the County for project closure.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the City Council of the City of Lynwood acknowledges that,
due to safety concerns, youth were not utilize for this project funded by Grant No. 58F8-
04-2060.
Section 2. That the City will continue its efforts to employ youth to the
maximum extent feasible.
Section 3. This resolution shali go into effect immediately upon its adoption.
Section 4. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this Resolution.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 215t day of April, 2009.
