SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The City Council has expressed a desire to revisit the residential
occupancy assumptions used in the calculations of sewer capacity. Holladay Engineering has assumed 2.5 persons per dwelling unit, 100 gallons per day per person, and year-round occupancy.
This results in an assumed sewer flow of 91,250 gallons per dwelling unit per year. The City Council has expressed a desire to assume something less than year-round occupancy for new
dwelling units.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Provide guidance to staff regarding the residential occupancy assumptions used in the sewer capacity analysis.

ACTION
1/27/05
Moved to bring forward the City’s assertion to the Sewer District that the capacity of the winter storage pond would allow an additional 707 equivalent dwelling
hookups as a result of assuming a reduced flow rate for part-time residents.
