SUMMARY STATEMENT:
On January 18, 2005 the Planning &
Zoning Commission conducted public hearings on a request for zoning designation upon annexation for approximately 57 acres on the south side of Lick Creek Road, near the intersection
with Pilgrim Cove Road. The property is currently zoned R-1; the requested zoning designation is Zone A – Low Density Residential and Zone GC – General Commercial. The applicant is requesting
that the approximately 10 acres proposed for the GC zoning district be restricted to residential use only.
The Planning & Zoning Commission recommends that the property be designated
Zone A – Low Density Residential if annexed. Attached is a summary of application and Ordinance 803, annexing the property and implementing the recommended zoning designation. Draft
Findings & Conclusions will be provided prior to the Council meeting.
The complete application is extensive and is not attached to this agenda bill. The complete application is available
for review in the Community Development Department.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt the draft Findings & Conclusions for ZON–05–1 and authorize the Mayor to sign; and
Suspend the rules
and read Ordinance 803 by title only, one time only;
and
Adopt Ordinance 803
