RESOLUTION NO. 92 -3150
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TEMPLE CITY, COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES: DECLARING ITS
INTENTION TO LEVY AND COLLECT ASSESSMENTS FOR
FISCAL YEAR 1992 -93 WITHIN THE CITY -WIDE LIGHTING
AND MAINTENANCE DISTRICT, PURSUANT TO THE
LANDSCAPING AND LIGHTING ACT OF 1972; AND FIXING A
TIME AND PLACE FOR HEARING OBJECTIONS THERETO
The City Council of the City of Temple City, pursuant to the
provisions of the Landscaping and Lighting Act of 1972, being
Division 15 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of
California, does resolve as follows:
DESCRIPTION OF WORK
SECTION 1. That the public interest and convenience requires
and it is the intention of the City Council of the City of Temple
City, California to levy and collect assessments within the City
Wide lighting and Maintenance District for Fiscal Year 1992 -93,
within which the following work is to be done; to wit:
1. Public lighting facilities, maintenance and
servicing
2. Traffic signal maintenance
3. Trees and parkways maintenance
4. Parks maintenance
5. Any and all work and materials appurtenant
thereto.
LOCATION OF WORK
SECTION 2. The foregoing described work is to be located
within streets, easements and parks within the City of Temple City
particularly described on a map on file in the City Clerk's office
entitled "Lighting and Maintenance District, Assessment Diagram ".
Said district boundary being the same as the City boundary.
DESCRIPTION OF ASSESSMENT DISTRICT
SECTION 3. That the contemplated work, in the opinion of said
City Council, is of benefit to and the said City Council hereby
makes the expense of the said work chargeable upon, a district,
which said district is assessed to pay the costs and expenses
thereof and which district is described as follows:
All that certain territory within the City of
Temple City, exclusive of public streets.
The City Council has determined that pursuant to
Section 22595 that public utility property is to be
assessed.
REPORT OF THE ENGINEER
SECTION 4. The City Council of said City does hereby
tentatively approve the report of the Engineer which indicates the
amount of the proposed assessments, the district boundary,
assessment zones, detailed description of improvements, and the
method of assessment. The report titled "Engineer's Reports for
Fiscal Year 1992 -93 Assessment Levy for City Wide Lighting and
Maintenance District for City of Temple City ", is on file in the
office of the City Clerk and reference to said report is hereby
made for all particulars.
TIME AND PLACE OF HEARING
SECTION 5. Notice is hereby given that on the 7th day of
July, 1992, at the hour of 7:30 PM, in the Council Chambers of the
City Council in the Civic Center at 5938 N. Kauffman Avenue, Temple
City, California, any and all persons having any objections to the
work or intent of the assessment district, may appear and show
cause why said work should not be done or carried out in accordance
with this Resolution of Intention. The City Council will consider
all oral and written protests.
LANDSCAPING AND LIGHTING ACT OF 1972
SECTION 6. All the work herein proposed shall be done in
accordance with the Landscaping and Lighting Act of 1972, being
Division 15 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of
California.
SECTION 7. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this resolution.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 2nd day of June, 1992.

I, City Clerk of the City of Temple City, hereby certify that
the foregoing Resolution, Resolution No. 92 -3150 was duly adopted
by the City Council of the City of Temple City at a regular meeting
held on the 2nd day of June, 1992 by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmember- Breazeal ,Budds,Wilson,Manning,McGowan
NOES: Councilmember -None
ABSENT: Councilmember -None
