HomeMy Public PortalAbout084-2001 - Grant - Partnership for a Drug Free Wayne CountyORDINANCE NO. 84 - 2001 AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL, ACCEPTANCE, AND APPROPRIATION OF A GRANT FROM THE PARTNERSHIP FOR A DRUG FREE WAYNE COUNTY WHEREAS, The Partnership for a Drug Free Wayne County has grant funding available; and WHEREAS, the City of Richmond Police Department desires to submit a grant application to assist with the costs associated for purchasing materials for the Adult Citizens Police Academy, Youth Citizens Police Academy and Selective Enforcement Operations; and WHEREAS, no local match is required for this grant. NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, as follows: The Richmond Police Department is hereby authorized to submit a grant application to the Partnership for a Drug Free Wayne County to assist with the costs associated for purchasing materials for the Adult Citizens Police Academy, Youth Citizens Police Academy and Selective Enforcement Operations. The Richmond Police Department is authorized to accept said grant funding in an amount up to One Thousand Five Hundred Sixty-four Dollars ($1,564.00). Said funds, if awarded to the City of Richmond, shall be appropriated for assistance with the costs associated for purchasing materials for the Adult Citizens Police Academy, Youth Citizens Police Academy and Selective Enforcement Operations.
