Leesburg Crews Continue with Storm Recovery Efforts
Overnight
Weather forecast anticipates significant re-freezing.
Leesburg, VA (March 14, 2017) – The Town of Leesburg will remain in full storm recovery
operations during the overnight hours of Tuesday, March 14, into Wednesday, March 15, 2017 .
Throughout the night, crews will continue to push snow off roadways, clear intersections and
treat roadways with a sand and salt mixture in preparation for sub -freezing temperatures
tonight and tomorrow morning.
Below freezing temperatures are likely to result in black ice on the roadways. Officials
encourage drivers to use extreme caution, particularly after dark, if driving cannot be avoided.
The Leesburg Snow Hotline will cease operations at 6:00 p.m. this evening. Residents can use
the online form at www.leesburgva.gov/snowissue to report snow removal concerns or
problems.
The snow emergency route restrictions will end at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 15, 2017.
