SUMMARY STATEMENT:
At the last City Council meeting it was requested
that language be added to the lease that will ensure the new owner will replace all of the existing docks that present a safety hazard to the public. Mile High LLC. has prepared a schedule
for the replacement of all of the docks at the facility. The replacement schedule will be performed in three phases over the next year. The first phase of the plan will take place
during the summer and will replace each dock that presents an eminent hazard to the safety of the public.
Attached is the replacement schedule that has been prepared by Mile High
Marina and a revised lease agreement that includes language which addresses the replacement and maintenance of the docks.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Resolution 05-05 approving
the lease agreement with Mile High Marina, LLC. and authorize the City Council President to sign all necessary documents.

SUMMARY STATEMENT:
Mile High Marina L.L.C. has purchased the marina
from Sta-Bax, Inc. (Harry’s Dry Dock). The former lease with Sta-Bax for the use of the marina expired in April 2004. Negotiations have occurred between City Staff and representatives
from Mile High Marina for a new lease agreement for the use of the City owned property. The new lease agreement proposes that Mile High Marina will pay the equivalent of the annual
cost to rent three slips at the marina to the City as rent.
The proposed lease agreement has been reviewed by the City Attorney and City Staff.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt
Resolution 05-05 approving the lease agreement with Mile High Marina, LLC. and authorize the City Council President to sign all necessary documents.
