The minutes of the regular monthly meeting of October 5, 1965, were read. Raymond Bosch made the motion that the minutes be accepted as read. Harold Winterhalter seconded the motion. The motion was carried. The minutes of the special meeting of October 8, 1965, were read. Harold Winterhalter made the motion that the minutes be accepted as read. Raymond Boseh seconded the motion. The motion was carried. Bury and Carlson's bill for street repairs in Medina Morningside was discussed. It was agreed by the Council that the bill !as not to exceed $175. Raymond Bosch seconded the motion. The motion was carried. Harold Winterhalter made the motion to adopt the Ordinance increasing the salaries of the councilmen and mayor. :ugene Pulju seconded the motion. The motion was carried. Mayor's salary increased to $5o per month and councilman's salary increased to $40 per month. A letter was dictated to be written to Mr. G. F. Welch, District Engineer, regarding state approval for posting speed limits on Village roads in Medina Morningside. The state snow removal contract was discussed. Eugene Pulju made the motion to ,;rant permission to the Northwestern Bell Telephone Company to install buried cable. Harold Winterhalter seconded the motion. The motion was carried. Harold Winterhalter brought up the problem of water from Richard Carlson's hcme in Medina Morningside. Mr. Dykhoff will look into the matter. Mayor Scott recommended that the Planning Commission give considerable thought to making t i leing around basements mandatory. Mr. and Mrs. Ken Johnson, operators of Ken's Liquors, appeared before the Council, et the re?uPst of the Council, and discussed a recent conviction on a charge of selling intoxicating liquor to a minor. The Council felt in view of their attitude and previous good record that no action to revoke their license would be taken on this occasion. 9 Hennepin County Teague of Municipalities meeting will be held November 4, 1965, in Golden Valley. i 288 :ugene Pulju made the motion that the bills be paid. No response has been received from Mr. G. F. Welch, District Engineer, in regard to Posting speed limits on Village roads in Medina Morningside. Mr. Bury of Bury and Carlson was Present to discuss the bill for street repairs in Medina Morningside. Harold Winterhalter made the motion to pay the $252 invoice for work done on Medina Morningside roads by Bury and Carlson. ugene Pulju seconded the motion. The motion was carried.. The bill for lamp post repair from snowplowing was laidover until more information can be found out about it . Harold Winterhalter made the motion to authorize the Paying of the balance of 104, $321,2/1, to Plehal Blacktop as the balance of the bill for seal coating Medina Morningside. Raymond Bosch seconded the motion. The motion was carried.. Mr. Al Thies requested a building permit on a lot of Mr. Hussman's. Mr. William Seltz, Mr. Hussman's attorney was present. A building permit was not issued. Mr. Seitz was told to bring back the old plans and to discuss them with the. Planning Commission. Harold Winterhalter made the motion granting the Medina Colonial Dive -In Theatre a building permit provided that the necessary structural drawings and designs meeting with the approval of the Building Inspector and the Village Engineer. An ad. was dictated to be sent to the Minnetonka Herald for publication for the position of Clerk of Medina Village. It reads as follows: The Village of Medina will interview candidates for the position of part time Village Clerk. Applicants should be -- residents of Medina Village, fami lar with bookkeeping, typing essential, shorthand preferred, must be 21 years or older. Working conditions and salary to be negotiated.. Applicants apply stating qualifications to Clerk Wayne'Seddermeyer, Route 2, Box 353, Long Take, Llinnesota. Telephone - L73 A special meeting is to be held to appoint the clerk.
