SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee made the motion to remove Scotty Davenport
from the Committee due to the fact that he has attended only two of the twelve meeting this year.
The Advisory Committee's responsibilities have grown over the last year and we need
participating members. The Parks & Recreation Director as well as Ron Rooth have made
attempts to find out from Mr. Davenport as to his intentions on being a committed member of the
committee. Neither have yet to hear from him. According to City Code 1-9-4(F)1 the chair of any
advisory committee may, upon receiving a majority vote of the committee, request to the city
manager that the member be temporarily removed pending council action. The chair shall
present to the council the basis for removal in open session. The council shall remove or fail to
remove the committee member by majority vote of the full council.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Remove Scotty Davenport from the Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee.
