SUMMARY STATEMENT:
In an effort to attract and retain seasonal employees for the Golf Course, the City of McCall
will provide rental housing at cost, to those employees who require housing in order to be
employed by the City.
The City of McCall will enter into a lease agreement with Brundage Property Management for
the rental of a furnished three bedroom apartment located at the Timbers Apartment Complex
(formally called Ponderosa Arms) for the period of June 2006 through October 2006. The City
will make the unit available at cost, to Golf Course seasonal workers who need a place to live
while working in McCall.
Employees in need of temporary housing would be required to pay $25 for a credit
background check. Only those with an acceptable credit history would be allowed to enter into a
sublease agreement with the City. The rental payments would be deducted proportionally from
their payroll checks as a miscellaneous deduction and the City in turn would make the monthly
rental payment of $750.00. The tenants would be responsible for their portion of the $750.00
deposit.
The City Attorney, William Nichols is currently in the process of reviewing the current lease
agreement and will create a sublease agreement for seasonal employees.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Approve a rental lease agreement between Brundage Property Management and the City of
McCall for the period of June 2006 through October 2006.
