SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The Police Department requests authorization to trade in four used Mini 14s, one used
Ruger Security Six and one used Glock 27 which are no longer being used by the
department, and purchase four Bushmaster BCWA2F16M4 rifles and four thirty round
magazines from Ponderosa Sports of Horseshoe Bend, Idaho.
This purchase will upgrade the department issued weapons and augment officer safety.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Declare the used firearms as surplus and authorize purchase of the new Bushmaster rifles
and magazines.
