SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The City of McCall seeks funding for the development of a detached multiuse path along the East
West Loop. The path was part of the original design of the Loop road, but was not built because
of funding limitations. ITD staff have recommended that the City of McCall seeks federal funding
from the Transportation Enhancement program to build the multiuse path.
A cost estimate is being prepared by the City Engineers; the cost estimate will be available for
Council review at the January 12th Council meeting. Local match requirements range from 2-10%
and can include the value of the land where the multiuse path is constructed. Cash funding will
be required, and will be considered in the FY09 budget in the Parks and Recreation
Departments. A resolution authorizing the submission of the application is required, and is
attached.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Approve submission of the Transportation Enhancement application, adopt Resolution
06-02 and authorize the Mayor to sign all necessary documents.
