SUMMARY STATEMENT:
As of January 31, 1997 the City and J.R. Simplot entered into a Water User and Supply
Agreement in which the City supplied treated effluent and J.R. Simplot applied the effluent
(diluted 2:1 with water from the Lake Irrigation District) to a total of 117.7 acres of land.
The new agreement adds approximately 500 acres to the acreage being irrigated with treated
and diluted effluent, subject to the terms of the Second Amended Consent Order between the
City and the Idaho Department of Environmental Quality.
A copy of the agreement is attached.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Approve the Water User and Supply Agreement and authorize the Mayor to sign all
necessary documents.
