SUMMARY STATEMENT:
At its June 8 meeting the City Council directed staff to prepare a development moratorium
ordinance for Council consideration to prohibit applications for Planned Unit Developments in the
CBD zone north of Lake Street and west of Third Street per McCall City Code 3.10.08.L until the
comprehensive plan update is complete.
The City Attorney has determined that an interim moratorium on Planned Unit Developments for
properties within the CBD zone, the Shoreline and River Environs Zone, and the Scenic Route
Overlay Zone (the area north of Lake Street and west of Third Street) is feasible. A public hearing
was held by the Planning & Zoning Commission on July 12 and the Commission recommended
that Council adopt the attached Ordinance.
Staff will make a presentation on the interim moratorium and answer questions from Council prior
to the public hearing.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Suspend the rules, read by title only, one time only Ordinance No. 826. Adopt Ordinance
No. 826, imposing an Interim Moratorium.
