SUMMARY STATEMENT:
Neighborhood Housing Services is developing community housing on 9 lots of City owned
property on McCall Ave. A proposed budget is attached. The City, as lessor of the property, will
fund the cost of building permits, water and sewer hookups, and a portion of site preparation for
the nine lots. These funds will be returned to the City of McCall after the houses are completed
and sold.
Sufficient Community Housing funds have been collected in FY06 for this expense. Contingent
Revenue and Contingent Expense can be used to allow the expenditure of these funds this fiscal
year. Upon approval by the council, staff will transfer $175,000 from Contingent Revenue (10-99-
075-100) to Housing Commitment Revenue (10-30-070-530) and $175,000 from Contingent
Expense (10-99-750-100) to Housing Investment expense (10-24-200-725).
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Authorize up to $175,000 of community housing revenue for building permits, water and
sewer hookups, and site preparation for nine lots on McCall Ave, and authorize staff to
transfer $175,000 from Contingent Revenue to Housing Commitment Revenue and from
Contingent Expense to Housing Investment Expense.
