SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The developer, Hangar Solutions, is building the "East Hangar Project" and currently holds a
single, temporary lease on the entire land area. When all 33 hangars are finished, the taxiway
will be turned over to the city, Hangar Solutions' lease will be terminated, and, individual leases
will be drafted for the new owners.
Normally, the lease for a new hangar owner goes before the AAC and their recommendation is
passed on to the city council. This process is in place to ensure that storage facilities on the
airport are for aviation use. Since all of these new buyers are from the city's Hangar Waiting List,
it would be redundant and an unnecessary amount of work to have the AAC and the City Council
review and vote on each one.
All lease documents will be the same except for the individual "Exhibit A" for the specific property
description.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Authorize the process of blanket approval for the assignment and assumption of all leases
on the hangars being built by Hangar Solutions and sold to buyers from the City's hangar
waiting list.
