SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The police department has been asked by Ralph A. Neal to accept a donation of six firearms
which had belonged to a deceased relative. The weapons will not be used as the department's
duty firearms, but the three shotguns can be used for trade in value to purchase the remaining
AR-15 duty firearms. The firearms are as follows:

Ithaca Model 19 12GA shotgun SN 85916
Ithaca Model M-49 .22 rifle SN not found
Springfield Model 15 .22 rifle SN not found
Savage Super Sporter 30-06 SN 3151
Mossberg Model 46B .22 rifle SN not found
If the donation is approved, the department would request Council agree to the department
donating the three .22 rifles to the Department of Fish & Game for their Hunter Safety Program.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Approve the request of the police department to accept the donation of the six firearms.
Approve the request of the police department to donate three .22 rifles to the Department
of Fish & Game.
