SUMMARY STATEMENT:
Cable One, Inc. has negotiated the purchase from Charter Communications of the cable
television system in McCall, and several other communities in Idaho. The City's franchise
agreement with Charter provides a mechanism for the transfer of the franchise, in Section 18
beginning on page 14. Attached are several documents for your review, including a letter from
Charter and Cable One, a draft resolution prepared by Cable One approving the transfer, a
consent to assignment of franchise form, and Ordinance 755 (the current franchise agreement
with Charter).
The City Attorney is reviewing the necessary documents. Final versions will be provided for
Council action.
Michelle Cameron of Cable One and Randy Lee of Charter will address the Council.

The City Attorney has approved the necessary documents, as previously provided to the Council.
Attached is a final version of Resolution 06-25, approving the transfer, and a letter from Cable
One agreeing to comply with the terms of the franchise ordinance.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Resolution 06-25, approving the transfer and assignment of the cable television franchise
to Cable One, Inc. and authorize the Mayor to sign all necessary documents.
