SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The Deputy City Manager/Administrative Services position has recently been created to oversee
the Finance, City Clerk, IT and Human Resource functions of the City. The position will also
serve as the City Treasurer.
The position was advertised widely and several well -qualified applicants responded. Telephone
and personal interviews were conducted and the candidates were evaluated.
The City Manager has extended a conditional offer to Fred Quiel, subject to Council confirmation.
Mr. Quiel's resume is attached. Upon Council confirmation, Mr. Quiel's start date will be January
29, 2007.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Confirm the City Manager's appointment of Fred Quiel as Deputy City
Manager/Administrative Services and City Treasurer, per McCall City Code 1-9-4(B).
