Stream, Florida, held at the Town Hall on Monday, March 9th,1953
at 10 a.m.

The minutes of the meeting held on February 9th,1953 were read,
and upon motion duly made, adopted and approved.
Chief E.W. Cooper made a report in general.
The Commissioners unanimously approved the payment of the attached
list of bills, as paid by check numbers #1248 -1267 inclusive.
A report was made by Commissioner Bauer showing the Bank Balance
as of February 28th,1953 as $11,724.92.
He also reported Income Receipts from
Traffic Fines $40.00
Occupational Licenses 50.00
Permits 30.00
For the month of February 1953 it was reported that 2,818,000
gallons of water had been furnished residents of the Town for
which the Town is to receive $676.60 and pay cost of amounting
$338.16
Town Clerk Wm.J.Bauer was instructed to contact the State Road
Department to inquire if they would paint double lines in front
of Gulf Stream Golf Club, Club House and North of Wm.J.O'Briens
and from the South Line of Talbot J. Speers property to the N.
Line of Howard Phipps property, all on State Road AlA.
An ordinance amending Section 78 of the Code of General Ordinances
of the Town of Gulf Stream, Florida of 1930, was read for the
second time and upon motion duly made, seconded and unanimously
approved was adopted.
"PERMIT FEES"
$2.00 per one thousand dollars upon the estimated cost
of such building, structure, alberation, repair or
addition, up to a fee o $250.00 for such permit, no permit
to cost more than $250 .00; and no permit to be issued at
a fee of less than $5.00.
Upkn motion by Commissioner N.J.Clarke, seconded by Commissioner
L.Seton Lindsay and endorsed by Commissioner Wm.J.Bauer, a vote of
thanks was extended to Mr. Harold J. Roig for his work in commection
with Planning Ordinance and Charter Amendments.
Various Charter Amendments were submitted by Commissioner Harold J.
Roig and were unanimously approved by all the Commissioners present..

Notice of intention covering these amendments in forms attached to
these minutes were directed to be published and counsel was intrcuted
to proceed with this legislation.
It was unanimously approved by all Commissioners present that the
Board of Equalization sit,July 14th,15th and 16th to hear any com-
plaints relative to 1953 Tax Roll. 1,
Aletter was read from Mrs. Glenna C. Crafts relative to Boundary
Hedge between her property and Mrs. Boulton. The Commissioners
acting upon advise of Counsel, instructed the Town Clerk to reply
to Mrs. Crafts that the Hedge in question was a neighbor matter
and not one in which the Town can intervene.
The resignation of Mr. Wm.C.Johnston as Municipal Judge was
accepted and the Commissioners by unanimous vote, with Wm.J.Bauer
not voting, designated Wm.J.Bauer as Municipal Judge and he was so
sworn in by Mayor Commissioner L. Seton Lindsay.
Town Clerk Bauer reported that mimeographed notices relative to
speeding had been mailed to all residents and property owners of
the Town and had also been mailed to all members of the Gulf Stream
Golf Club as well as posted at the Gulf Stream Golf Club and Gulf
Stream Bath & Tennis Club.
Town Clerk Bauer reported that check had been received from the
Florida Power & Light Company in the amount of $905.67 being payment
of their Franchise Tqx to January 7th,1953.
Upon motion duly adopted, Mr. °arvey S. Ladzw was appointed a member
of the Town Planning Board in place of Mr. gford Burchell, deceased;
and Mr. Phil Hoyle was appointed the fourth member of the Town
Planning Board.
There being no further business to come before the meeting, it adjourned.
