SUMMARY STATEMENT:
On March 7, 2006 the Planning and Zoning Commission held a properly posted and noticed public
hearing. The Commission heard public testimony and reviewed a staff report. The applications are for
the permission to construct nine duplexes on nine lots.
The Commission found that the application did not meet the one of the requirements of MCC 3-31-030.
Specifically, the Commission found that the application did not comply with the condition that states, "The
proposed use will be designed, constructed, operated and maintained to be harmonious and appropriate
in appearance with the existing or likely character of the neighborhood, and that such use will not change
the essential character of the surrounding area." The Commission recommended the application be
denied by the City Council.
The complete application is extensive and is not attached to this agenda bill. The complete application is
available for review in the Community Development Department.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt the Findings & Conclusions and approve CUP 06-1 through CUP 06-9.
