Parents, teachers and administrators has been working for over a year evaluating ways to accommodate the unprecedented growth in the District while still providing our children a quality education in a safe and healthy environment. After many, many meetings, public presentations, surveys, design proposals and cost estimates, the committee made its recommendations to the Board and the Board has adopted a facilities improvement plan that will go before the voters in May. The committee is now tasked with presenting that plan to the public and gathering support for passing the bond. School District Trustee Neal Thompson and Superintendent Terry Donicht will give a short presentation outlining how and why the Board's plan to construct a new elementary school in McCall, to expand the Donnelly Elementary School, and to expand and modernize the High School is a sensible, cost effective response to the challenges facing the District.
