SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The City of McCall, along with Valley and Adams Counties and the Cities of Council, New
Meadows, Donnelly, and Cascade, have coordinated efforts to assess the regional need for
community housing, to develop policies and ordinances to address that need, and to create an
entity to assist with implementation of community housing.
Valley County has created the Valley Adams Regional Housing Authority (VARHA) pursuant to
Idaho Statute, and has invited the other communities provide for the operation of VARHA within
their jurisdictional boundaries and to enter into a joint powers agreement to govern the function
and operation of VARHA. This resolution provides for the operation of VARHA within the City of
McCall and authorizes the Mayor to sign the joint powers agreement.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Resolution 06-13 and authorize the Mayor to sign the necessary documents.
