Leesburg, VA (April 18, 2017) – The Town of Leesburg’s Economic Development Office will hold
its next quarterly HUBZone Business Meeting on Thursday, April 27, 2017, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00
p.m., at the Mason Enterprise Center in downtown Leesburg (202 Church Street SE). The
meeting is no-cost and open to all small businesses.
This quarter’s meeting will feature a panel comprised of three Leesburg companies in various
stages of the certification process. Custom Software Systems specializes in developing and
implementing Software Solutions and IT Support Services that deliver value to their customers.
Solvitur Systems specializes in Information Security, Information Assurance, and Governance, Risk &
Compliance (GRC) consulting services. Triple Point Security is a technical information security

These companies will share their experiences going through the certification process, lessons
learned, and a few success stories.
The Town of Leesburg's partner in supporting HUBZone businesses in Leesburg, the Mason
Enterprise Center (MEC), provides a collaborative, training space for the quarterly meetings.
Susan Henson, Regional Director in Loudoun for George Mason University, MEC and SBDC
programs, also shared, "We strive to assist small government contractors with training and no
cost one-on-one business advising through the life cycle of their business, and have recently
engaged with TD Bank as the sponsor for this informative event."
A program of the U.S. Small Business Administration, the HUBZone program helps small
businesses gain preferential access to federal procurement opportunities while increasing
employment opportunities in economically distressed areas. In an effort to assist local
businesses with navigating the HUBZone certification process, the Leesburg Economic
Development Office has partnered with local business owners who have completed the process
successfully to present quarterly information sharing meetings.
