GULF STREAM ON MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 24, 2001 AT 5:01 P.M., IN THE

I. Call to Order. Mayor Koch called the meeting to order at 5:01
P.M.

III. Consideration of Adopted Tentative Milla e Rates and Adopted
Tentative Budgets for Fiscal Year 2001 -2002
A. Explanation and discussion of Tentative Millage Rate as
compared to the rolled back rate.
Town Manager Thrasher advised that the Tentative Millage is 3.7853, the
same as the current year millage, as compared to the certified rolled
back rate of 3.4407, a 10.2% increase. Mr. Thrasher further advised
that this rate would generate $1,572,727 in ad valorem tax revenues in a
General Fund Budget of $1,785,799. The Town Manager closed by advising
that the Enterprise Fund (Water Fund) budget is $531,000 for fiscal year
2001 -2002.
B. Comment from the Commission and the Public.
Mayor Koch asked if the required advertising had been completed and was
advised by the Clerk that the proofs of such advertising had been
received and filed.
There was no further comment from the Commission and no comment from the
public.
IV. Adoption of the General Fund FINAL Millage Rate for Fiscal
Year 2001 -2002.
Commissioner Orthwein moved and Commissioner Lynch seconded that a final
millage rate for the General Fund in the amount of 3.7853 mills be
adopted for fiscal year 2001 -2002. Roll Call: Comm. Orthwein; AYE,
Comm. Devitt; AYE, Comm. Lynch; AYE, Comm. Hopkins; AYE, and Mayor Koch;
AYE.
V. Adoption of the FINAL Budgets for Fis

Budget in the amount of $531,000 for fiscal year 2001 -2002.

Town Clerk Taylor read Ordinance No. 01/4 in full after which
Commissioner Lynch moved and Commissioner Orthwein seconded that it be
adopted. There was no comment from either the public or the members of

Comm. Lynch; AYE, Comm. Hopkins; AYE, and Mayor Koch; AYE.

at 8:30 A.M., and the Town Commission will hold .a Public Hearing on October

An application submitted by Randall E. Stofft Architects, P.A., as agent for

style structure.
b. Addition of an attached pool house and master wing with
loggia, and a detached two story, 3 car garage with staff
quarters above for a total of 8,495 square feet.
C. Relocation and replacement of entrance gate and installation
of paver driveway surface.
d. Construction of 2 swimming pools, moats, spas, swan ponds,
waterfalls with grotto, 20' tunnel and playground equipment.
The Architectural 'Review and Planning Board shall make a recommendation to
the Town Commission, and the Town Commission shall make a final decision
regarding the subject application at the meetings noticed above. These
meetings may be adjourned from time to time and place to place as may be
necessary to hear all parties and evidence.

Clerk located at 100 Sea Road, Gulf Stream, Florida 33483, and may be
reviewed during regular business hours, which generally include non - holiday
weekdays from 9:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M.
