REGULAR.MEETING OF THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF MEDINA
NOVEMBER 7,1961
Meeting called to order at $ PM. All council members present.
Minutes of regular meetin of October 2,1961 were read. Motion
by H. Arens to accept minutes as read second by H Winterhalter,
Motion carried. Minutes of special meeting of October 9,1961
were read, Motion by H Arens to accept minutes as read, second by
Arthur Gertz, Motion carried. Minutes of Special meeting of October
31,1961 were read, motion by Harold Winterhalter to accept minutes
as read, second by H. Arens, Motion carried.
Bids for snow removal were opened and read, one bid was recieved
as follows; From Leo Leuer, 410.50 per hour for FWD 5-6 ton
with 9 foot wing, and either 10 foot Vee or 10 foot one-way plow.
ncludeing 2 men for operation. 46.50 per hour for No. 12 Cat.
Aoad patrols with 10 foot vee and 12 foot wing, with one man for
dperation. Seasonal guarantee for both pieces of equipment 4750.00.
Ray Hoosier appeared with a request for a special use permit to
build a home. Motion by H. Winterhalter to grant Ray Hoosier a
special use permit to build a home at juntithn of Winterhalter road
and Rockford road, second by Arthur Gertz, motion carried.
Motion by Herbert Arens to appoint Viola Bouley, Mary Kohnen,
Elizabeth Proehl, Donna Roehl and Leona Koelfgen election Judges,
second by Arthur Gertz, Motion carried.
Building permit application for the Veterans of Foriegn Wars,
Post # 5903 was presented to the council for consideration,
Commander In of the Post Dave Wasgatt asked the council for action
on this application without further discussaimn,upon request by
Attorneay Geo Master representing Richard Whitten to discuss this
matter the following people were heard, Dave Wasgatt, Richard Whitten,
Forre Stimler, J. Rosengren, Mrs. Whitten, Virgil Eisinger,D. Willis,
Paul Merz, J Fortnier, K. Dayton, Marie Etzel, Joe Raskob.
Motion by H Winterhalter to table VFW application until next regular
meeting with appoited committee of Richard Whitten, Jack Rosengren,
Robert Scott, Dave Wasgatt and Forre Stimler to investigate the
possiblity of other location for the Post home, Second by H. Arens,
motion carried.
Motion by Arthur Gertz to adopt Ordinance Relateing to the consumption
and display of intoxicating liqour, second by Herb Arens, Motion
carried.
Motion by Herb Arens to grant Henry Ruter a building permit to
build a home on block 20, Lot 20, Independence Beach, when he
shows prove of owenership prior to April 7,1959, Second by Arthur
Gertz, Motion carried.
Gerald Dykhoff will check Kubic property for any ordinance violations.
Motion by R Roehl to return Medina Morningside escrow check of
$3500.00 in place of a check for 4250.00 second by H. Winterhalter,
motion carried.
The Industrial committee recommeded to the planning commission to
wiutg wt study possibility of location and expense of Aerobic Sewage
disposal systems with detantiond ponds for the Village.
Motion by H Winterhalter to instruct the building inspection to take
appropiate legal action to correct building andinance violations at
Willard Millers, second by Herb Arens, motion carried.
