A RESOLUTION: AWARDING A TASK ORDER IN THE AMOUNT OF $630,852
TO STANTEC CONSULTING SERVICES INC. FOR THE
ENGINEERING DESIGN OF THE DEBRIS SCREEN SYSTEMS
PROJECT AT THE WATER POLLUTION CONTROL FACILITY
WHEREAS, the Town of Leesburg ("the Town") owns and operates water and
wastewater systems and treatment facilities; and
WHEREAS, the design phase of the debris screen systems project is a fully funded and
approved project in the Department of Utilities Fiscal Year 2023 Capital Improvements
Program; and
WHEREAS, Stantec Consulting Services Inc. provided a task order quote in the
amount of$630,852 to design the debris screen systems project; and
WHEREAS, the Town has an existing contract for Comprehensive Engineering,
Architectural, Surveying, and Related Services with Stantec Consulting Services Inc.; and
WHEREAS, under the terms of the Comprehensive Engineering, Architectural,
Surveying, and Related Services contract, projects in excess of$200,000 must be approved by
Town Council; and
WHEREAS, the task order has been evaluated by the Chief Procurement Office and the
Director of Utilities.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED, by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as
follows:
1. The Town Manager is authorized to execute a task order under the existing
Comprehensive Engineering, Architectural, Surveying, and Related Services
contract with Stantec Consulting Services Inc. (Contract No. 500640-FY20-09-C),
in a form approved by the Town Attorney, in the amount of$630,852 for the design
of the debris screen systems project.
