ORDINANCE NO. 93-24
AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF TRUCKEE ESTABLISHING A SPEED LIMIT
ON GLENSHIRE DRIVE WITHIN THE TOWN OF TRUCKEE STATE OF
CALIFORNIA (Vehicle Code Section 22358)
WHEREAS, the Town finds and determines that upon the basis of an eng'meering and traffic survey,
the Town street hereinafter described comes within the provisions of Section 22358 of the Vehicle
Code of the State of California, in that a speed limit of 55 miles per hour is more than is reasonable
and safe on said Town street as follows:
That a prima facie speed limit of 25 miles per hour is hereby determined, declared
and established and that SPEED LIMIT 25 MILES PER HOUR signs be placed at
appropriate locations on the hereinafter-described Town street to wit: GLENSHIRE
DRIVE FROM WHITEHORSE ROAD TO WOODBRIDGE COURT; and
WHEREAS, all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith should be repealed; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works of the Town of Truckee should be directed to erect
appropriate signs giving notice of the prima facie speed limits established herein within thirty (30)
days of the adoption thereof.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Town Council of the Town of Truckee does ordain as follows:
1. The Department of Public Works of the Town of Truckee is hereby directed to erect
appropriate speed limit signs indicating new speed limit of 25 miles per hour on Glenshire Drive
from Whitehorse Road to Woodbridge Court.
The foregoing Ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the
Town of Truckee, held on the 19th of August, 1993, by Council Member Cross who moved its
introduction, which motion being duly seconded by Council Member Aguera, and upon roll call
carded by the following vote:
AYES: Council Members Aguera, Botto, Cross and Mayor Eagan
NOES: None
ABSENT: None

The foregoing Ordinance, having been introduced at a regular meeting of the Town Council
of the Town of Truckee, held on the 19th of August, 1993, by and coming for final consideration at
the Regular Meeting of the Town Council held on the 2nd day of September, 1993, by Council
Member Aguera who moved its final adoption which motion being duly seconded by Council
Member Cross was upon roll call carried by the following vote:
AYES: Council Members Aguera, Botto, Cross and Mayor Eagan
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
