AUTHORIZING PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT WITH
BEACON PLANNING & CONSULTING SERVICES, L.L.C. - ROOSEVEL T
AVENUE/WEST CARTERET REDEVELOPMENT
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret requires professional planning services with regard
to a Redevelopment Plan for the Roosevelt Avenue/West Carteret Redevelopment
project; and
WHEREAS, Beacon Planning & Consulting Services, L.L.C, located at Colts Towne
Plaza, Suite 207, 41 State Highway 34 South, Colts Neck, NJ, 07722 possesses the
requisite skill and expertise to provide said services; and
WHEREAS, the Borough has received a proposal from Beacon Planning & Consulting
Services, L.L.c. ("Beacon Planning"), to provide said services at a cost not to exceed
$5,000.00; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council have reviewed said proposal and have
recommended the approval of the same; and
WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds are or will be available
" for the same.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough
of Carteret as follows: '
I. The proposaJ from Beacon Planning & Consulting Services,
L.L.C., Colts Towne Plaza, Suite 207,41 State Highway 34 South, Colts
Neck, NJ, 07722, to provide professional planning services for a
Redevelopment Plan for the Roosevelt Avenue/West Carteret
Redevelopment project in an amount not to exceed $5,000.00 is hereby
approved.
3. This action is approved without competitive bids as an award ofa
professional services contract.
4. A copy of this resolution shall be forwarded to Beacon Planning,
the Chief Financial Officer and the Borough Attorney.
Adopted this 11th day of August, 2005
and certified as a true copy of the
original on August 12, 2005.
