AFSCME Local 3850 filed an grievance with the New Jersey Public Employment Relations Commission with regard to salary adjustments for certain Borough of Carteret ("Borough") employees; and WHEREAS, the Borough and AFSCME Local 3850 have negotiated an Agreement to resolve the grievances. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Carteret as follows: I. That the Agreement between AFSCME Local3850 and the Borough is hereby approved and the salary adjustments provided thereby are hereby approved. '. 2. That the appropriate Borough officials .are hereby authorized to implement the terms and provisions of the Agreement between AFSCME Local 3850 and the Borough. , Adopted this 6th day of October, 2005 and certified as a true copy of the original on October 7,2005. SETILEMENT AGREEMENT In order to amicably resolve the above-captioned unfair practice charge the Borough and AFSCME agree as follows: 1. The Borough and AFSCME agree that salary adjustment discussions should be concluded. The parties further agree that, in the future, any salary adjustment requests for individual employees shall only be considered and reviewed as part of the parties' next succeeding collective bargaining negotiations, and shall not othetWise be raised. 2. The parties agree that certain salary adjustments! appointments will be made in accordance with the following schedule. The following salary adjustments! appointments will be implemented as soon as practicable after the execution of this agreement. Paulette Holmes - $1,000.00 increase from $28,208.00 to $29,208.00 for 2004 with the foIlowin.g additional salary adjustments as set forth below: 2005 - $29,336.00 to $30,230.00 2006 - $30,509.00 to $31,288.00 2007 - $31,730.00 to $32,383.00 I Brenda Farnham - Provisional appointment from. 5th step Clerk Typist to 4th step Records Clerk! $26,942.00 to $27,162.00. The parties agree that this will be the first step toward providing her with a pennanent promotion to Records Clerk, shouJd she fulfill all of the civiJ service requirements therefore. AFSCME shall withdraw the above unfair practice charge under Docket No. CO-200S-203. 4. The parties hereby acknowledge and agree that this Agreement is intended to fully resolvè the prdent matter oilly and shall not be used as evidence of any past practice on the pilÌt of the Borough in any pending and/or future matters or proceedings between the parties.
