REJECTING BID AND AUTHORIZING REBID OF ROOSEVELT
A VENUE STREETSCAPE PROJECT
WHEREAS, the Borough previously solicited and received bids for the Roosevelt
Avenue Streetscape Proj ect; and
WHEREAS, the Borough Engineer has advised the Borough that the bids received
significantly exceed the available funding for the project; and
WHEREAS, the Borough wishes to proceed with a modified version of the project; and
WHEREAS. the Borough would like to re-advertise for the receipt of bids consistent
with the modified version ofthe Roosevelt Avenue Streetscape Project.
NOW, THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough
ofCarteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey, as follows:
I. That the bids received are hereby rejected and that the Purchasing Agent is
authorized to re-advertise for receipt of bids consistent with the plans and specifications
'. as modified by the Borough Engineer for the Roosevelt AvenueStreetscape Project.
Adopted this 6th day of October, 2005
and certified as a true copy of the
original on October 7, 2005.
