AUTHORIZING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT WITH BEACON
PLANNING AND CONSULTING SERVICES, LLC FOR AN AREA IN NEED
OF REDEVELOPMENT DESIGNATION STUDY FOR THE PROPOSED
FEDERAL BOULEVARD REDEVELOPMENT AREA
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret previously awarded a professional planning
services contract to Beacon Planning for a area in need of redevelopment designation
study for a proposed Federal Boulevard redevelopment area; and
WHEREAS, Beacon Planning has advised the Borough that additional funds are needed
to complete the study given the scope of the project and is requested additional funding to
complete the same at an addition cost not to exceed $5,500; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and the Council have reviewed said request for additional
funding; and
WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds are or will be available
for said purpose.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and the Council of the
Borough ofCarteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey, as follows:
I. The proposal from Beacon Planning and Consulting Services, LLC, for additional
funding to complete the area in need of redevelopment designation study for the
proposed Federal Boulevard redevelopment area at an additional cost not to
exceed $5,500 is hereby approved;
2. This action is approved as an award of a professional services contract pursuant to
N.J.S.A 40A:II-5(l)(a)
3. The copy of this Resolution be forwarded to the Borough's Purchasing
Department and Beacon Planning.
