AUTHORIZING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT WITH BEACON
PLANNING, LLC FOR WEST CARTERET MINUE STREET RETAIL
REDEVELOPMENT AREA
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret previously awarded a professional planning
services contract to Beacon Plarming for the preparation of a Redevelopment Plan for the
West Carteret Minue Street Retail Redevelopment Area; and
WHEREAS, Beacon Planning has advised the Borough that additional funds are needed
to complete the redevelopment plan given the scope of the project and is requested
additional funding to complete ihe same at an addition cost not to exceed $6,000; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and the Council have reviewed said proposal for additional
funds; and
WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds are or will be available
for said purpose.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayqr and the Council of the
Borough ofCarteret, County of Middlesex, State. of New Jersey, as follows:
1. The proposal from Beacon Planning and Consulting Services, LLC, for additional
funding to complete the preparation of a Redevelopment Plan for the West
Carteret Minue Street Retail Redevelopment Area at an additional cost not to
exceed $6,000 is hereby approved;
2. This action is approved as an award of a professional services contract pursuant to
NJ.S.A 40A:11-5(1)(a)
3. The copy of this Resolution be forwarded to the Borough's Purchasing
Department and Beacon Plalming.
