Attest: M% June 27, 1970 The Council of Ral harbour Village met Saturday. June 27, 1970, at 9:10 A.M. in the Village Hall. Present: Messrs. Heatty, rrintun and Villenueve Absent: Messrs. Taplin and White Also present were Fred W. Maley, Village Manager: Mary T. Wetterer, Village Clerk; and Thomas H. Anderson, Village Attorney. Mr. Maley told the Council that he had an answer from the U. S. Corns of Engineers stating that on receipt of the prelimi- nary plan = for the Hal harbour beach restoration nroject they would consider them and forward them to higher headquarters for approvaland possible reimbursement. Mr. Maley also said that the contract between 'hurwelle-Whittaker, inc., Mr. von Oesen's firm and Pal harbour Village had heen received yesterday, but Mr. Anderson did not have time to study it. It was moved by Mr. Printup. seconded by Mr. Villeneuve and unanimously voted that if Mr. Anderson approves of the contract that, Mr. Maley be author- i•,7ed to siren it. Mr. Maley and Mr. Webh then described to the Council their findings at the Carolina and Wrightsville, N. C. bearhes, Projects in which Mr, von Oesen has participated. On motion of Mr. Printup, seconders by Mr. Villeneuve and unanimously voted the council ap7Iroved a S5,500.00 expenditure from the Tourism Department to promote Pal Harbour at the Mon- treal F,xhihition. Mr. Charles Clements and Mr. Harold Perry of the Community National Rank and Trust Company appeared with their architect, Mr. Frazier Knight, to request a variance on the parking regula- tions to allow them to avid a third story to the bank building; and also to extend the proposed emor«ency stair tower on the northwest corner of the building- three feet into the setback area. On motion of Mr. Printnp, seconded by Mr. Villeneuve and unani- mously voted the variances were granted. The Hank also agreed to hire a Traffic Engineering firm to study the ingress and egress to the bank property in an effort to close the 90th Street entrance. ln�. 99 raon 91 The Council was notified of Dade County Ordinance No. 70-46 regarding the filing of annual financial statements by elected and certain a.)pointed officials. Mr. Anderson said he would review the ordinance. An agreement with the City of Miami Reach for pumpinf• sew- age through thoi.r nutfall through October 11, 1970 was presented. It was agreed that Mr. Anderson wnnld contact Mr. Warnick, City Attorney for Miami Pearh, regarding certain wordage in the agree- ment. was A Resolution honoring Mr. Webb was discussed and Mr. Anderson authorized to prepare a resolution for the nest moetina. There being no further business on motion of Mr. Villeneuve, seconded by Mr. Printup and unanimously voted the meeting was adjourned at 10:45 A.M. Attest: Village Clerk July 25, 1970 The Council of Bal harbour Village met Saturday, July 25, 1970, at 9:30 A.M. in the Village Hall. Present: Messrs. Beatty, Printup, Taplin, Villeneuve and White Also present were Fred W. Maley, Village Manager and Mary T. Wetterer, Village Clerk. On motion of Mr. Villeneuve, seconded by Mr. Printup, and unan- imously voted, the minutes of the previous meeting of June 27, 1970, were approved as submitted. Due to the requirement that four -fifths of the Council must pass on Zoning variances the Council again considered the request of the Community National Bank and Trust Company to allow a variance on the parking regulations to permit a third story addition to the building and also allow an emergency stair tower on the northwest corner of the building to extend three feet into the setback area. On motion of Mr. White, seconded by Mr. Printup, and unanimously voted the variances were granted. July 25, 1970
