SHOULD ANY INTERESTED PARTY SEEK TO APPEAL ANY DECISION MADE BY THE TOWN COMMISSION WITH RESPECT TO ANY MATTER CONSIDERED AT THIS MEETING, SAID PARTY WILL NEED A RECORD OF THE PROCEEDINGS, AND FOR SUCH PURPOSE, MAY NEED TO INSURE THAT A VERBATIM RECORD OF THE PROCEEDINGS IS MADE, WHICH RECORD INCLUDES THE TESTIMONY AND EVIDENCE UPON WHICH THE APPEAL IS TO BE BASED. F.S.S. 286.0105 C C, MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING HELD BY OF GULF STREAM ON FRIDAY, OCTOBER 21, COMMISSION CHAMBERS OF THE TOWN HALL, FLORIDA. I. Call to Order. THE TOWN COMMISSION OF THE TOWN 2005 AT 9:00 A.M., IN THE 100 SEA ROAD, GULF STREAM, Mayor Koch called the meeting to order at 9 A.M. II. Pledge of Allegiance. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by the Mayor. III. Roll Call. Present and Participating Also Present and Participating: William F. Koch, Jr Joan K. Orthwein Fred B. Devitt III William A. Lynch William Thrasher Rita Taylor Mayor Vice Mayor Commissioner Commissioner Town Manager Town Clerk IV. Appointment of a Town Commissioner. Mayor Koch announced that this special meeting is to fill an open position on the Commission with the resignation of Commissioner Hopkins. He reported that he asked Chris Wheeler, Chairman of the Architectural Review and Planning Board, if he would be interested in the position and Mr. Wheeler said if all were in agreement, he would accept. Commissioners Lynch and Orthwein agreed that Mr. Wheeler would be an asset to the Commission. Commissioner Orthwein moved and Commissioner Lynch seconded to appoint Chris Wheeler as Commissioner. Roll Call: Comm. Orthwein; AYE, Comm. Devitt; AYE, Comm. Lynch; AYE and Mayor Koch; AYE. Commissioner Orthwein suggested that thoughts be given to filling two open positions on the ARPB and placed on the agenda for the next regular meeting. Mayor Koch commented that with the impending Hurricane Wilma, Staff is making the necessary preparations and would keep the Commissioners informed. XII. Adjournment.
