FIRE TRUCK, Hamel Fire Department
John Gleason represented the fire department; other department members present: Terry
Roehl, Steve Rutchi, Howie Guest. It is possible that the
departement may be able to get a pumper chasis at a $10,000.00 discount for a cost of
$50,000.00. Equiping the chasis would cost an added $80,000.00. The department is
interested because the 1958 Dodge is no longer a 'bated" vehicle due to age. The
department men present felt that this was an ideal time to make the move to a new
pumper which they belive is needed more than another tanker. Tom Crosby requested that
the department prepare some written information to be given to the Clerk before the
12/4 Council meeting; it is to include the balance still due on the Mack and the payment
schedule for same and comparative information on the value of a new pumper compared to
a new tanker, including any information on possible change in city fire rating. Bill
Reiser moved and Scherer seconded that the City of Medina advertize for bids on a fire
truck chasis per the specifications attached; said bids to be opened Thursday, November
29, 1984 at 1:00 pm. Motion declared carried.
GEORGE HANSEN PRIVATE ROAD AGREEMENT
The purchaser of the largest lot in the Hansen subdivision wanted the private road
agreement to allow for the possible further division of her property into a total of
three lots; therefore the road agreement is to show that the road may serve up to six
(6) dwelling units. Scherer moved that a private road agreement for the George Hansen
property shallallow up to six dwelling units . Reiser seconded the motion and it was
declared carried.
DOCKSIDE
Mr Spaeth had left a new site plan for the Dockside property showing twelve "guest"
parking spaces. Council felt that the residual roadway would be too narrow for
delivery trucks to pass the cars. Mr. Spaeth's attorney had attached a letter stating
that the guest parking would be provided but that he did not wish to demark this
area in any way; it also stated that only one boat would be allowed per dwelling unit
and that Spaeth did not intend to build any storage buildings and should the homeowners
find a need for same at a future date they would have to come before the council.
After extended discussion Tom Crosby moved: Guest parking spaces 1-6 and 11-12 are
to be provided with the stipulation that they be 4' wider, said widening to be taken
from the open greenspace adjacent to the depicted spaces. There shall be striping
at right angles to the open green space showing the front and back of each space.
There shall be signs indicating "guest parking" and the amount of allowable hardcover
in this development shall be increased by the square footage occupied by the 4'
width increase and only by said amount and only for said purpose. 2) No dwelling
may have more than one boat of any kind docked on the property. 3) Spaeth shall
not build any storage building of any kind at any time on the property. Paragraph
3 of the list of agreed changes was rewritten to make it clear that no storage may
be built by the developer. Bill Reiser seconded the motion. Motion declared carried.
NORTHRIDGE
A request was presnetd requesting a six month extention on the Northridge development.
Crosby moved the extention; Reiser seconded; motion declared carried.
