HomeMy Public PortalAbout1923.04.04 Council MinutesRECORD OF PROCEEDINGS 100 LEAVES McCall Idaho r.pril 4th 1923 Roll Call E J Peaady Present Thee toff f Present E J Geelan Present B B McCall Present A A Cotner Absent Meeting called to order by Chairman Peabody after which Lars E J Peabody represented by a body of Citizens presented a petition requesting the council to abolish the present Occupation Tax Ordinance The petition was read by the Clerk and was discussed at length where upon a motion bs; Geelan and seconded by Hoff that the petition be laid over on table and let new councilmen handle as they see fit. Motion was carried. Clerk was ordered to collect tax from the following persons Mrs Mahoney, Nr Vinchester Mrs 'erry Prints and R L Tilson, if it was found they were entitled to pay a tax. Motion by Geelan and seconded by Hoff that the Board accept the resignation of Treasurer H D nark Motion carried. Lotion by Geelan and seconded by Hoff that Jess Reynolds he appointed Treasurer to fill the vacancy Notion carried. Board instructed Clerk to post notices of election to be field 24t h 191'3. The Follwswing judges were appointed Thos McCall, N T Rankin and Graee Bennett. Motion to adjourn subject to call of chairman. Passed and approved this Attested Clerk day of 299 Agreement Between Hoff & Brown Tie and Lumber Company a Corporation, and The Villige of Me Call This agreement entered into this 16th. day of April 1923, between Hoff and 3rown Tie and Lumber Company a Corporation of 1to Call Valley County Idaho party of the first part and The Villigge of McCall situated in Valley County Idaho party of the second part? Witneseeth: That in consideration of the mutual oovenante herein contained and other valuable considerations herein named the parties hereto agree and covenant with eaoh©ther and hereby bind themselves as follows: The party of the first part hereby agrees to allow the party of the eeoond part to pick up and use all the wood it may need for firing the boiler, in pumping water; said wood to be gathered in and about the present Mill Site. In consideration of the priviledge of the party of the second part to use wood as aforesaid, the party ofthe second part agrees to furnish the party_ of the first part all the water it may need at the sawmill and offioe, free of charge. 7- It is hereby mutually agreed that the goregoing agreement shall be in full farce and effect during all time that the party of the first part is located at its present cite.
