A RESOLUTION TO AWARD BID FOR ORIGINAL TOWN DESIGN (IMPROVEMENTS
— SANITARY SEWER INFLOW & INFILTRATION REDUCTION PROJECT
Whereas, the City Council of the City of Tiffin received bids for the Original Town
Design Improvements — Sanitary Sewer Inflow & Infiltration Reduction Project; and,
Whereas, the City Council has identified SulzCo, Inc. as having the lowest, most
responsible bid of $487,121.00, and,
Whereas, the City Council wishes to award the project and begin the contractual
process,
Now, therefore be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Tiffin, Iowa, to
authorize the Mayor and City Administrator/Clerk to sign all necessary notices,
documents and forms of contract as required and necessary to execute a contract with
SulzCo, Inc. as identified and recommended by the City Engineer.
On the 16th day of February, 2016, at a regular meeting of the Tiffin City Council, Tiffin,
Iowa, Councilperson Bartels. introduced RESOLUTION No. 2016-014, A
RESOLUTION TO AWARD BID FOR ORIGINAL TOWN DESIGN IMPROVEMENTS —
SANITARY SEWER INFLOW & INFILTRATION REDUCTION PROJECT and made a
motion for approval. Motion seconded by Councilperson Ryan.
Ayes: Havens, Upton, Kahler, Ryan, Bartels,
Nays: None.
Absent: None.
Whereupon five Council members were present and voted approval and Mayor Berner
declared that RESOLUTION No. 2016-014, A RESOLUTION TO AWARD BID FOR
ORIGINAL TOWN DESIGN IMPROVEMENTS — SANITARY SEWER INFLOW &
INFILTRATION REDUCTION PROJECT to be adopted and signified his approval of the
same by affixing his signature thereto.
Passed by the City Council on the 16th day of February, 2016.
